Brian Tinsen (Managing Director)
I am originally from Minnesota, USA. I Joined the US Navy in 1978 to follow my interest in aviation. I trained as an Avionics Technician and spent 4 years supporting P-3 Orion Antisubmarine Patrol aircraft out of NAS Bermuda and I met my wife Karen there.
I joined Dicomed Inc.
in 1987. I spent 4 years there building, testing, installing and supporting high resolution image recording systems in the US, Canada and Alaska for companies such as Lawrence Livermore, Arco Oil, GM, Schlumberger, NASA, Lockheed and many others.
I received an offer to work in the UK in 1987. Between 1987 and 1995 I carried out the same type of work all over Europe and the Middle East, working for Crosfield Electronics for 2 of those years.
In 1995 I successfully negotiated an MBO with Dicomed Inc. and formed DTEK Systems Ltd. Rapidly changing technology made these early challenging but we found good business partners and products and have moved into a strong position in the market. My focus has always remain on the higest possible quality of product and service and it has paid off for DTEK and our customers.
As you can see below I have a very experienced and interesting team! We are very well equipped to handle the challenges ahead.
I enjoy my family time, working around the house, the occasional hiking and to keep from getting bored, aerobatic flying, motorcycling and fishing.

Karen Tinsen (MD /Admin)
Trained originally as a legal secretary and worked in Cheltenham for a criminal and litigation solicitor. I went to Bermuda to work for a secretarial agency, doing various jobs ranging from legal to insurance, reception cover and even copy typing. I worked in Minnesota, USA, for a law firm. Over the years I have done many jobs from stocking shelves to running my own business for a while. I joined the DTEK team in 1998, answering the phones and chasing unpaid invoices. I am now Company Secretary and run the administration side of the business.
I have two daughters, and whilst supporting them in their passion for horses, have donated a lot of my time to the local Pony Club committee and have organised and run their annual show for three years. I am a country girl at heart and love to be outdoors, whether it is mucking out stables, tending to our chickens, walking the dog or just sitting in the garden, just give me wellies and I am happy!

Tony Bhalla (Phaseone Support)
Left university in the late 70’s and went to work for a major photographic
supplier designing dark rooms, and working on projects for the police, military and oil exploration companies. I went freelance in the the late 80’s, and started getting assignments from agencies in the Middle East and far east for clients as
diverse as Walls, Ford, Mercedes Marriott & Hyatt hotel chain, to Proctor and Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive.
I also did assignments with USGS and the
Saudi Government and was part of the team that crossed the Empty Quarter during the Hummer Expedition.
I got involved with Phase One while shooting in the Middle East with a scanning back, a campaign shot in the desert for Ford. I came back to the UK, and then decided had to go digital, but wanted to maintain close ties with Phase One.
I joined Dtek in 2002 and am
involved in sales and technical support for Phase One hardware & software.
My hobbies include music (ex-DJ), good food and wine, and visiting Ancient historical sites.
