Soultronix ExpoSync

Synchronising your sinar ExpoLux shutter with a Phase One Digitalback

The ExpoSync generates a synchronisation signal, which is necessary for summarizing the picture information during the exposure. Usual mechanical shutters generate this with the flash synchronisation signal. Electronic shuttersystems, such as the Sinar Expolux shutter, might generate only a short impulse at the flashsynchronisation plug when opening the shutter (early flash) or when closing the shutter (late flash). ExpoSync produces a synchronized and a temporally correct synronisation signal from the signals accessible at the Sinar Expolux shutter.

Aditionally a “wakeup” signal is generated, setting up the Digitalback for the exposure. This signal is needed short time before the exposure. Using mechanical shutters this signal is usually produced by a push-button, mounted in the cable between the flashsync contact and the syncinput of the digitalback.

Supported digital backs:

During the design of the ExpoSync, only the characteristics of Digitalbacks of PhaseOne were taken into account. If you would like to operate other systems with the ExpoSync, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Phase One P Series P20 P20 P25 P30 P45
Phase One P + Series: P20+ P25+ P30+ P45+
Phase One Lightphase H10 H20 H25

Due to space restrictions, occurring when using some camera adapters, it might not be possible to connect the Phase One Digital Back with the synchroncable. With these cases we recommend the usage of the Multiconnector adapter supplied by PhaseOne.
